The content of this Guide to evidence-based interventions for children and young people with ASD responds
to the second purpose. It provides information on interventions for children and adolescents with
Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), so that professionals who care for this population and
their families make informed decisions related to interventions and provision of services that support the development of functional skills and participation of children and adolescents with ASD. This Guide continues the process started in two (2) previous guides: 1- Guide for the Early Identification of Autism Spectrum Disorders: Surveillance, Screening and Diagnosis, and 2- Guide for the Assessment Directed at Planning Interventions for Children and Adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
